Simon-Luc wears many, many hats at FX Studio par Clairoux, where he masterminds timeless designs that just click. He gathers information, verifies measurements and coordinates all that needs coordinating with both clients and suppliers, making sure to meet their needs along the way. An expert in interior design and 3D drawings, Simon-Luc’s job begins the second a project kicks off and ends on site, his versatility and analytical spirit present at all times.
His strong suit: coordinating and concepting a tight ship
Simon-Luc’s design work covers the realm of homes, condos and office spaces. He enjoys dabbling in a wide range of tasks and his keen listening skills mean clients get exactly what they’re after. He’s worked on innovative projects in the tech field using automation and chromotherapy, such as for Stanbrooke; masterminded the design for the restaurant Perles et Paddock, where practical and aesthetic elements work to respect the location’s surroundings; and gone all out on Chambord, a magnificent, Nordic-inspired property.
Highly intuitive, Simon-Luc is not afraid to put his mock-ups to the test in order to make sure his ideas work. He’s always in search of the most relevant, aesthetically pleasing and functional way to get the job done. A team player to the core, he understands the scope of projects and is your go-to guy when you need a hand. Simon-Luc is the brains behind FX Studio Immobilier, a tool that helps users choose their condo’s finishes simply and efficiently. He’s also in charge of coordinating with stakeholders on all project specs related to creative work, concept and negotiation. His cool, calm and collected nature means he’s not easily thrown off guard, and his penchant for timeless design means users will always be in for something special, both today and tomorrow. He presents clients with innovative solutions that hadn’t crossed their minds, all while respecting the context.
From accountant to creative – that’s just who he is
Simon-Luc’s love of aesthetics means he finds inspiration in many areas: art deco, cartoons, pop art (Roy Liechenstein to name but one), auteur cinema, literature and video games.
Believe it or not, Simon-Luc began his career as an accountant, where he analyzed the costs associated with construction sites. He then moved into a consultant (wall products) role, advising clients on interior design. While his background is a tad on the atypical side, the variety of projects he has worked on has allowed him to develop his reasoning skills, his customer service, and his creativity, contributing to the stand-out professional he is today.
Simon-Luc’s background is reflective of his positive energy, his desire to keep learning and his versatility. Holder of a DEC in interior design from Cégep Marie Victorin, he is currently pursuing a diploma in 3D drawing.
